On the evening of July 13, 2023, the Vietnam – Japan festival was officially opened at Bien Dong Park (Da Nang City). The event is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (1973 – 2023), attracts a large number of people and visitors to participate and experience.
The ceremony had the participation of members of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly delegation Nguyen Van Quang; Vice Chairman of Ho Ky Minh City People’s Committee; Ms. Nguyen Minh Hang, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs; H.E. Mr. Yamada Takio, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam; H.E. Mr. Yakabe Yoshinori, Consul General of Japan in Da Nang. Ms. Hoang Thi Xuan Diem – Head of Da Nang branch office, representative of N&V Bridge Group was honored to participate in the program.
Vietnam – Japan Festival is a comprehensive foreign cultural event with Japan in Da Nang, directed by the People’s Committee of Da Nang City. The event has been held annually since 2014 to promote diplomatic relations between the two countries in general, Da Nang and localities of Japan in particular. This year, the festival takes place over 4 days (13 – 16/07) with many rich activities, showing the typical cultures of both countries.
Speaking at the opening night, Mr. Ho Ky Minh, Vice Chairman of Da Nang People’s Committee affirmed that the extensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan is in a period of good and comprehensive development. That solid foundation has created favorable conditions for localities of Vietnam, including Da Nang, to promote cooperation with Japanese partners in a practical and effective way.
Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Yamada Takio emphasized that at present, Japan-Vietnam relations in all fields such as politics, security and defense, economy and culture are at the best stage ever. The relationship between Da Nang city and Japan has also developed strongly in the past 10 years since the start of this festival.
